A challenging year for Andrew with a full load at school followed by the June 2009 USA - NORCECA Modern Pentathlon Championships. He won the Junior and Youth A Bronze Medals and qualified for both World Championships in Taiwan and Egypt. Andrew put out a great effort in Taiwan in the Junior World Championships (19-21 yrs. old) and improved his combined time by 1:15 min to meet the junior standard in that event. He was invited by head coach Janusz Peciak to join the Youth A Team (17-18 yr olds) in Cairo Egypt July 22-27 where we wish him luck! Next month Andrew competes in Vancouver BC for the Canadian Nationals. Then back to school for his junior year at Galena High School in Reno.
